RAIN UPDATE 12:45pm

The safety of our neighbors, attendees, participants, vendors, volunteers, and staff is paramount. We have moved some events indoors:

  • Indoor programming in the Langston Hughes Auditorium, Aaron Douglas Reading Room and the Manuscripts, Archives and Rare Books Division (MARB) Reading Room will proceed as scheduled.

  • Baldwin Stage is tented and will remain outdoors.

  • Octavia Butler Stage programs will take place inside the Countee Cullen Library auditorium at 104 W. 136th Street.

  • Zora Neale Hurston Stage programs will take place inside the Schomburg Center in the Latimer Gallery. NOTE: bags and umbrellas will need to be checked in order to enter the Latimer Gallery.

  • A selection of programs from the Kids Clubhouse will take place inside the Countee Cullen Library-James Weldon Johnson Storytime Room at 104 W. 136th Street.

  • Vendors and Exhibitors will remain in the Marketplace on 135th Street at their own discretion.

The Festival team and volunteers have an updated schedule for all of these changes. We will accommodate attendees until we reach capacity inside the Schomburg Center and the Countee Cullen Library.
